「雷霆3 PCIe 转接盒 (Thunder3 PCIe Box)」支援 PCIe X16 的插槽，可安装半长，全高，双卡宽度的的 PCIe 卡，并提供到 25W 的电力给的 PCIe 卡使用外接。使用的 Thunderbolt 3 连接介面具有的40Gb / s的频宽，足够给个PCIe x4 第 3 代使用，并在串接时还有足够的频宽让所连接的装置使用。

两个 Thunderbolt 3 连接孔。可以支持 Thunderbolt 3 串接使用（可串接5台装置），这一代的 Thunderbolt 3 兼容了 USB 3.1 功能,所以你也可以连接 USB 3.1 Gen2(10 Gbps)的装置使用,当然一样可以连接 DisplayPort 装置。

专用的 DisplayPort 连接埠，可更容易地连接辅助监视器来扩展您的工作区。这种视频输出功能需要先使用 Thunderbolt 3 连接到电脑，可为您释放出另一个 Thunderbolt 3 连接埠，第二个 Thunderbolt 3 连接埠就可以串接其它的设备，如新增一台 Thunderbolt 设备、USB 3.1 设备和 DisplayPort 显示器设备。
